Mr. Lockhart was commissioned to paint a piece for Tyler Perry's 50th birthday

AURORA, CO, March 23, 2022 — Thomas Elias Lockhart III has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Drawing inspiration from the example of his cousin, Mr. Lockhart earned a degree in art and visual communication from Al Collins Graphic Design School in Tempe, Arizona. While he began studying and working in graphic design, his passion for art soon inspired him to reach for greater heights. Drawing on such idols as Salvador Dali and Thomas Kinkade, Mr. Lockhart channels his creativity into his work as a fine artist with New Life Design, through which he has honed his expertise in varying styles and media.

Alongside his work as an artist, Mr. Lockhart enjoys working with children and helping them to develop their own creativity. Throughout the course of his career, he has exhibited his work at museums, libraries, galleries and in private collections at Blair Caldwell Library, Denver Seminary, Tyler Perry Studios, Grace Gallery and in the collections of Denver Broncos players’ Rick Parros and Von Miller. Mr. Lockhart has also been commissioned numerous times and participated in such art shows as A Taste of Colorado, Beaver Creek Fine Art Show, Black Arts Festival and Chicago African Arts Festival, to name only a few.

While his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Lockhart is most proud to have been commissioned to paint a piece for Tyler Perry’s 50th birthday. To be honored by a mogul, writer, director, producer and actor was a major accomplishment. He also takes pride in featuring on the cover of two magazines in 2021, being highlighted by PBS Rocky Mountain in Colorado in 2020, earning the Ohio State University Honor from the Cultural Arts Department, and winning the Directors Award from ART Basel Spectrum. Looking toward the future, Mr. Lockhart aspires to advance his creative endeavors to a large platform.
